MONROVIA – Josia Saah had known Precious Ireland’s mother since their childhood; their friendship grew into sisterhood over the years and to her, Precious was like a daughter. Sadly, Precious was killed by her own son – an incident that has left her in a state of shock and pain.
“The child in question here was like a daughter to me. She calls me aunty, I don’t know how I’m going to live with this, but I trust that God is in control,” she said.

MONROVIA – The question of how the 16-year-old obtained the 9mm pistol that he used to kill his peer on campus remains the lingering question in the public. His mother, Ms. Josia Saah had told police investigators that it belonged to her late husband, but her late husband’s family has denied her claim and expressed disappointment in her.
On the 30
th of March 2021, the Forestry Development Authority of Liberia (FDA) in collaboration with Fauna and Flora International (FFI) held a multi-stakeholder workshop to validate the management plan for the Sapo National Park (SNP), Liberia’s oldest protected area.
The park is located in southeastern Liberia, situated in Sinoe, River Gee, and Grand Gedeh Counties. SNP is the largest protected area in Liberia and was established in 1983.
It covers an area of 1,804 km
2 (180,400 ha). The park contains extremely diverse ecological communities, distinctive fauna and flora, and a mosaic of forest types.
SNP is also a ‘regional center of endemism’, i.e. an area rich in species found nowhere else. It provides refuge and serves as the last stronghold for species such as the western chimpanzee, African forest elephant, and pygmy hippopotamus, some of the most threatened species in the world.

MONROVIA – The Forestry Development Authority of Liberia (FDA) and Fauna & Flora International (FFI) have ended two separate multi-stakeholder workshops, on validating Collaborative management plan for the Sapo National Park (SNP), Liberia’s oldest protected area and Pygmy Hippopotamus conservation.
The park is located in southeastern Liberia, situated in Sinoe, River Gee, and Grand Gedeh Counties. SNP is the largest protected area in Liberia and was established in 1983. It covers an area of 1,804 km2 (180,400 ha).

As the United States battle with gun control amid the misused of it, where innocent people including students are murdered in cold blood on a daily basis, here in Liberia similar situation has taken place with a sixteen years old student of the Cy-Ed Christian School of Excellence killing his colleague on campus.
GNN investigation has discovered that the sixteen-year murderer student step-father is an Ex-US Marine who usually in Liberia on a short-term visit with his friend (Jovanus’ mother), but left Liberia few weeks ago, “Probably he left his weapon behind,” a source confided in the GNN during an exclusive interview.
