MONROVIA – Cllr. Tolbert Nyenswah, former Director General of the National Public Health Institute who has been indicted by a recent audit report by the General Auditing Commission (GAC) that he received double salaries from NPHIL and the Ministry of Health amounting to paid US$24,000.00 and L$624,000.00 has refuted the claims by the supreme audit body, claiming that allegations in the report are complete fallacy and lacking facts.

The GAC audit observed that the then Director General (DG) of NPHIL who prior to his appointment as Deputy Minister of Health at the Ministry of Health (MOH) was paid by both entities for three (3) months: January, February, and April of 2017. The Ministry of Health paid US$10,803.13 and L$297,532.34 and NPHIL paid US$24,000.00 and L$624,000.00 in net salaries. The GAC says that the double payment should be refunded to the Government of Liberia.

MONROVIA – In the wake of inadequate budgetary support and logistical constraints to the Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS), the Korle-Bu Neuroscience Foundation based in Canada in collaboration with the Camp Nou Fire Service has donated a huge consignment of firefighting equipment to the Liberia National Fire Service (LNFS).
The group is engaged into supporting neuron-surgical practices in various countries across Africa and other parts of the world.
It donated items including several fire extinguishers, hoses, firefighting PPEs including gears, boots, oxygen tanks, among others to the LNFS at its station on Ashmun Street in Monrovia on Tuesday, April 6.
Mr. Klark said: The most effective feature of the My Watchman App is locationality. âWhen you call for help, responders will know your precise location and you will know who is responding to your SOS and an ETA. We utilize a network of service providers, mostly private entities, spread across our coverage area.â
A mobile app with 24 hours secured monitoring and emergency dispatch command center has been launched to help curb crime and offer other emergency services, a platform that aims to give people that opportunity whenever there is an emergency.
My Watchman, as itâs called, is a full-service, personal security, and property monitoring app, with a 24 hours emergency response network and command center.
