Suspect Spits In Officer s Face During Arrest

By Carol Thomson Jul 5, 2021 | 5:50 PM The Saskatoon Police Service reports that a suspect spit at an officer, and received a minor hand injury while attempting to arrest someone wanted on warrants on Monday afternoon. An off-duty officer recognized an individual in the 200 block of 8th Street East and called it in. The man was approached a short time later by a responding officer in The Centre Mall parking lot, where police say the suspect brandished a firearm and fled into the mall. He was seen escaping through a different set of doors and fleeing through several nearby backyards, but he was later found by a police dog team in the 200 block of Leland Court.
