Shaloni Winston planned to work with children and families as a psychologist, but her first job after college was working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Soon enough, she couldn t imagine doing anything else.
Having completed the entirety of this 10-month leadership program, 31 students shared the products of their collective impact projects with attending family, friends, and regional leaders, and were recognized for their program completion. Though the class applied to the program prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, public health guidance precluded in-person meetings throughout the course of the year. As a result, from their kickoff retreat over the summer through their Commencement, the students have participated in the program virtually. For their collective impact project, the class was organized into five groups and they chose to focus on the broad topics of racism and the environment. Each group of students addressed these topics in its own way. Students created social media accounts on the topic of racism in schools and in society more broadly, organized an anti-racism workshop to be held for their peers featuring an expert from Multicultural
PITTSFIELD, Mass. Lipton Energy was approved to amend an application to store inflammable fluids at 36 Industrial Drive at Tuesday s City Council meeting, The purpose of this amendment was to change the fuel storage type on Lipton s existing land license from oil to propane. A land license is issued to a site for the storage of materials for fluids such as oil or propane storage. Attorney Jeffrey Lynch of Lynch Scrimo Attorneys spoke on Lipton s behalf and explained that 36 Industrial Drive has been used for bulk storage of petroleum oil since the 1920s when Lipton was first involved with the site.
Building Business in the Berkshires Scholarship are now being accepted. Two eligible incoming students enrolling in the Business Technologies Specialist program for the upcoming Spring I term will receive a full scholarship, and five incoming Business students will receive a $1,000 scholarship toward an unfunded balance. Mildred Elley has been providing career education in the Berkshire region for nearly 30 years, said Matt Martin, Director of Admissions.
