A person suffered serious head injuries after crashing and rolling a truck in North Canterbury. Emergency services were called to State Highway 7 in the Tekoa Range between Hanmer Springs and Leslie Hills roads at about 8.15pm on Thursday. Stuff understands the truck left the road before rolling, and that the driver was flown by rescue helicopter to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries. A police spokeswoman said the incident involved a truck and one person. A section of the road was closed while emergency services attended, but was open on Friday morning.
