A consultant’s report has recommended that the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville increase the salary of the warden by 10 per cent but hold the pay of council members at their current level.
The wage-comparison study shows that Warden Roger Haley’s $49,206 annual pay is 33 per cent less than the average of the wardens of eight other municipalities included in the study.

Jane Mizanski of Gallagher Benefits Services, which did the study for Leeds and Grenville, recommended that the warden’s salary be bumped by 10 per cent to bring it to $54,127 a year.
