Everything New on Netflix in January
January’s offerings on Netflix include
History of Swear Words, with Nicolas Cage hosting a series about the origins of your favorite profanity. In other words, it’s going to be a big f ing month for streaming.
The other highlights include the new original movie
The Dig, starring Carey Mulligan and Ralph Fiennes, a documentary series on the crack epidemic in the United States in the 1980s, and a new season of the animated series

History of Swear Words (January 2): Nicolas Cage comes to Netflix in a typically quirky way, as the host of a six-part documentary series about the origins and history of six words, only one of which “damn” we can print in a family publication. Guests include both academic experts who can discourse on the origin of the words, as well as people like Sarah Silverman who are intimately familiar with using them.
