A GROUP of students pulled on their walking boots – and waterproofs – to raise money for a charity close to their hearts. The students from Lakes College’s Transitions in Learning course split into two groups to walk from the Lillyhall-based college to Harrington Harbour and back again. Between them, they decided to raise money for the Owl Blue charity, which supports families of people with hidden disabilities, and Di Wilcock, course leader, has praised the students for their commitment and dedication. “Our learners really wanted to do something for charity,” she said. “We’re all so proud of them, and they’re very proud of themselves.”
