LEESBURG, Ga. (WALB) - A
The last confirmed report indicates the man is in critical condition.
This happened early Sunday on Stapleton Drive.
Lee County District Attorney Lewis Lamb said the money came from a concerned citizen.
He said public funds were not used. It was a private citizen who was very concerned about what happened. He said theyâre hoping it will get some people talking. Lewis Lamb (Source: WALB)
âIâm confident that there are people out there who know who was involved in this. We are hoping that if folks who have that information will be prompted to come forward and assist us in identifying and prosecuting the persons who are responsible,â said Lamb.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Lee County held its first grand jury Monday.
The county also held its first jury selection, and this time looked much different than before.
WALB News 10 found out the measures they’re taking to help keep people safe from COVID-19 as the county begins resuming trials since they were paused due to the pandemic.
Jury selection started at The Bindery and then moved to the Lee County Courthouse.
District Attorney Lewis Lamb said they are holding jury selection at The Bindery because there’s not enough room at the courthouse. The Bindery is a part of the Oakland Library in Leesburg.
