Meigs County authorities looking for man who fled | News, Sports, Jobs

POMEROY Meigs County authorities are looking for a Langsville man who fled police last week. Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood reported that on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a deputy was on patrol near Ohio 325 and Ohio 124 in Langsville when he observed a dark-colored truck go left of center multiple times. The deputy ran the license plate number on the vehicle and found the plates on the truck did not match the vehicle. When the deputy activated the cruiser’s lights and siren, the truck began to flee, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. The deputy initiated a pursuit on Ohio 124 and then onto Dexter Road. The vehicle was pursued across multiple backroads before driving into a ditch near Harmon Road. The deputy observed a male take off running from the driver’s side of the vehicle and into the woods while a passenger remained in the truck.
