Police investigating deadly hit-and-run crash in Phoenix after man found lying in road

PHOENIX - Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash in
Phoenix after an injured man was found lying in the road.
According to police, officers responded to an area near 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road at 8:15 p.m. on April 6 and found the injured man.
He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
At this time,
police do not have a description of the suspect s vehicle.

PHOENIX Three fatal accidents happened on Easter in a four-hour span Sunday night.
All four deadly accidents were hit-and-run accidents.
According to Tempe police, Raul Portillo hit a female cyclist with his 2007 Nissan Titan Friday night near Baseline and Mill and then fled the scene. Tempe police later arrested Portillo at his home near Baseline and Priest after midnight.
According to police, the collision happened just after 9:30 p.m. on April 4 near 31st Street and McDowell Road as 43-year-old Leroy Romero and a 43-year-old woman were in a crosswalk.

PHOENIX â A man is dead and another was injured after a hit-and-run crash that happened near 32nd Street and McDowell Road Sunday night.
Phoenix police say just after 9 p.m., a 43-year-old pedestrian, identified as Leroy Romero, and a 43-year-old woman, were at a crosswalk when they were struck by a silver Dodge Nitro SUV.
Authorities said the driver left the scene and kept traveling on McDowell Road. The driver has not been located and no description of the driver has been made available.
