Drunk driver kills biker in Lexington on Wednesday morning

A Lexington man died after an accident with an alleged drunk driver on West Fifth Avenue on Wednesday morning.
At approximately 6 a.m. officers were dispatched to a vehicle crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle on West Fifth Avenue at US Hwy 29/70. According to law enforcement reports, the driver of the SUV turned in front of the motorcycle, which was traveling in the opposite direction on Fifth Avenue. The motorcycle struck the vehicle, injuring its driver.

UPDATE: Three charged in Lexington home invasion

Three men have been charged in connection with a home invasion on Jan. 11 where the owners were bound and held at gunpoint.
After an investigation with multiple local law enforcement agencies, the Lexington Police were able to identify and arrest one of three people wanted in connection with the home invasion on Glenwood Drive.

On Sunday, investigators from the Lexington and Winston-Salem police departments and other assisting agencies were able to locate and arrest one of the suspects in Winston-Salem.
