Brewers split doubleheader with Mets

The Brewers avoided a sweep at the hands of the Mets Wednesday by taking the second game of the doubleheader 5-0.
The long ball carried Milwaukee to the sweep-avoiding victory. Manny Pina hit a two-run home run in the second inning, Willy Adames added a solo shot in the sixth, and Luis Urias hit a two-run insurance dinger in the seventh.
Brett Anderson went four innings on the hill, scattering three hits.
The Brewers dropped the first game of the doubleheader Wednesday 4-3 in eight innings. Jacob DeGrom and Corbin Burnes faced off in a battle of pitching All-Stars. DeGrom went seven frames and gave up two solo home runs to Luis Urias and Jace Peterson. Burnes pitched 5.2 innings, striking out eight and allowing one run.
