Univision’s WXTV-DT New York today named Luisa Collins vice president, content.
Beginning July 19, she will oversee Univision New York’s newsroom and lead content on all of Univision New York’s linear and digital properties that reach Latino audiences in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Collins will report directly to Roberto Yanez, president and general manager.
He said: “From traditional linear TV and radio to digital and streaming properties, Latinos are getting their news and information on more platforms that ever, and Univision New York has been the trusted source of that information for Latinos in the Tri-State area for over 50 years. We are thrilled to welcome veteran journalist Luisa Collins to lead our news team into the future.”
A London cafe boss from Albania who is accused of smuggling heroin across Europe as part of a major drug trafficking ring will be extradited to Italy.
Taulant Stoica, 34, is accused of smuggling drugs from the Netherlands into Italy between December 2015 and February 2016.
