A four-time drink driver who reversed into another car in Ipswich while banned from the road has been jailed for more than five months.
Factory worker Arunas Petrauskas, 32, was driving a Volvo along Norwich Road in Ipswich just after midnight on May 8, magistrates heard.
Petrauskas, of Geneva Road, Ipswich, reversed the car into another vehicle and police arrived at the scene, the court heard.
Officers then conducted a roadside breath test, which was positive, Lucy Broughton, prosecuting, told the court.
In custody, Petrauskas blew 114 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, which is more than three times the legal limit of 35mcg in 100ml of breath.
Richard Florian was sentenced at Suffolk Magistrates Court

A prolific offender stole £1 from a charity box outside a Bury St Edmunds home which had been decorated with Christmas lights.
Richard Florian, of Northgate Street, Bury St Edmunds, was seen outside the home at around 8.30pm on New Year s Eve in 2020, Suffolk Magistrates Court heard.
The homeowner heard a rattling sound and from the window saw Florian with the charity box, which was situated outside the house for donations for the festive light display.
The man came out of the house to challenge Florian, Lucy Broughton, prosecuting, told the court.

Andrew Peters was ordered to pay compensation at Suffolk Magistrates Court

A man who stole a bicycle from outside a Thetford shop has been ordered to pay compensation.
Andrew Peters, 42, appeared before magistrates in Ipswich on Monday for sentence after previously pleading guilty to theft of a pedal cycle.
Peters took the bike, valued at £199, from outside a Thetford shop on April 5, 2020, and then cycled away on it, Lucy Broughton, prosecuting, told the court.
Peters, of Lincoln Way, Thetford, pleaded guilty to the offence on March 15 this year and a pre-sentence report was ordered by magistrates.
Police joined forces with partner agencies for the operation
A woman who stamped down twice on a policeman s foot as they tried to remove her from a property has been ordered to pay him compensation.
Maureen McCue, 47, of Row 46, Great Yarmouth, pleaded guilty to the charge of assault by beating of an emergency worker when she appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrate s Court on March 31.
According to prosecutor Lucy Broughton, police were called to an address in Great Yarmouth on February 15 of this year for a different matter when they found the defendant drunk and agitated .
She said McCue then continued to be aggressive and resisted repeated police calls for her to leave the property.
