8-year-old boy killed in Interstate 95 crash

The Florida Highway Patrol said a pickup truck and a sports utility vehicle were driving southbound on the interstate near mile marker 138 at 12:31 a.m. when a sports utility vehicle slowed down because of a vehicle on fire in the northbound lane.
A pickup truck behind the vehicle did not see it slow down and rear-ended the vehicle, causing the truck to spin into the center lane, troopers said. The vehicle hit the guardrail and stopped between the inside shoulder and lane.
