ONLY fools and plonkers missed a convention celebrating Britain s favourite TV sitcom. More than 1,500 fans of Del Boy and Co descended on Colchester s Charter Hall to meet stars of the BBC series in September 2006. The Only Fools and Horses devotees felt like millionaires at the TV show s get-together, which featured a reconstruction of the Trotters iconic Peckham pad in Nelson Mandela House. There were also Del and Uncle Albert lookalikes, props and memorabilia to enjoy, in addition to guest appearances from actors John Challis (Boycie), Sue Holderness (Marlene), Paul Barber (Denzil), Roy Heather (cafe owner Sid) and Christopher Ryan and Roy Marsden, who played the infamous Driscoll Brothers.
