Luge Canada is raising money to help cover the ongoing rehabilitiation costs of Garrett Reid – a promising luger from West Vancouver who was critically injured in a Whistler training accident in 2019.
According to Luge Canada, Reid was part of Canada’s NextGen Team when he suffered a serious head injury during training at the Whistler Sliding Centre in November 2019.

In the year prior to his accident, Reid had competed in five Junior World Cup events – in Europe, Canada and the U.S. – and placed third in the Canadian Youth Championships in Calgary.
