YEADON Town Hall clock is chiming again after the completion of work to restore it to its former glory. Leeds City Council has worked closely with the Yeadon Town Hall Community Interest Company team to complete the challenging project, which has been in the pipeline for more than two years. The 140-year-old clock faces were completely worn out due to constant erosion. Now brand new faces have been delivered and installed by crane, with specialists working to restore the clock and get its mechanisms up and running. The spectacle, on January 20, was enjoyed by dozens of locals - all socially distancing - who watched the momentous occasion. Following the restoration, the clock is now ticking and chiming once again.
