LEETONIA Students will be on remote learning through Martin Luther King Day.
Superintendent Dennis Dunham reported Thursday night instruction will be remote when students return Jan. 4. Students will not return to face-to-face instruction until Jan. 19.
Dunham said the remote learning is out of caution from community spread of COVID-19, which is expected to increase after the holidays.
“We understand how critical it is for students to have face-to-face instruction and routine,” Dunham said. “This is being done out of a sheer abundance of caution.”
Also at the meeting, Dunham said he conducted a study of the K-12 campus facility’s efficiency regarding instruction of students. He reported he has recommended several changes in the use of facilities that will be put into place over the next couple weeks.
