SHARON Shannon has opened up about losing her longtime partner saying she slept beside his coffin before his funeral.
The legendary singer lost her partner Leo Healy in 2008 to a heart attack, the same year that her career soared as her collaboration with Mundy on Galway Girl became the most downloaded song of the year.

Sharon spoke on RTE docu-series Keys to my Life,
Leo was just 46 when he passed away, and it was a shock to his partner of over seven years, Sharon.

RTE viewers said that Sharon Shannon is a national treasue as they take a look back at her colourful career on the Keys to my Life.
During tonight s episode, host Brendan Courtney took musician Sharon Shannon back to some of the key places in Clare and Galway that have shaped her life so far.

Sharon Shannon says she is very happy following split from boyfriend Jimmy Healy
Sharon found love with Jimmy following the death of his brother Leo in 2008, who Sharon had been in a seven and a half year relationship with. The musician says she is very happily single now.
