IN 2009 Torfaen Playschemes held the Ultimate Beach Party in Pontypool Park. Taking place during the August school holidays, children had a blast playing beach games and making friends. Almost 1,000 children attended the event along with young volunteers who gave their spare time to support the service. Here s a look back at the day. The 2021 Westgate Middle School spelling bee champion is 5th grader Miss Hailey Board. Runner up is 6th grader Alex Hoyt and alternate is 6th grader Leah Sims. Special thanks to Ms. Zernich for her leadership in hosing this spelling bee in such a nontraditional school year. The Columbiana County Spelling Bee will be held on Wednesday, March 3rd. It will also be given in the online platform format.
