Yusuf Islam/Cat Stevens talks about his peace train gift to Christchurch

It took two years to design plans for the “little model Holy Roller”. A symbol of peace-building efforts, the little ride-on train is battery-powered and plays songs as passengers travel the “tracks of peace”. The idea is to put a smile on young faces and the next generation, so they can dream of a better world and good things to come. At a ceremony last week, the Royal Humane Society of New Zealand honoured the people of Christchurch with a bravery award for their response to the mosque attacks, presenting a gold medal award to Christchurch mayor Lianne Dalziel. Yusuf spoke by video-0link and unveiled his donation of a physical peace train, Chugger, to the people of Christchurch.
