Lima Baptist Temple hosting night of fun for kids
Summer on the South Lawn: 7 p.m.-9 p.m., Lima Baptist Temple, 982 Brower Road, Lima.
LIMA Lima Baptist Temple Student Ministry is hosting its Summer on the South Lawn event from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 at Lima Baptist Temple, 982 Brower Road in Lima. The event is free and open to middle and high school students.
Summer on the South Lawn will feature water balloons, a slip and slide, water kickball and food. Free parking will be available.

A changing church: Pandemic spurs faith groups to learn technology

In the early days of the pandemic, the church used a laptop computer to stream services over Facebook Live. The church has upgraded its equipment since then, moving to a more powerful camera that zooms and pans from the back of the church that doesn’t leave electronic equipment near the altar.
