A fire broke out at Bandura Bazar in Dhaka s Nawabganj upazila this morning.
Four firefighting units are trying to douse the blaze that originated around 10:30am, said Lima Khanam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room.
Over 200 shanties were gutted in the fire that broke out at Dhaka's Maniknagar area this afternoon. The fire started around 3:20pm at a tin-shed house at Cumilla Potti area. Fire in city’s Satarkul area doused

DHAKA, Feb 19, 2021 (BSS) – Fire that broke out at a saw mill at Satarkul area of Uttar Badda in the city at 11:55 pm yesterday, was doused in the early hours of today.
Fire service headquarters duty officer Lima Khanam told BSS that the fire at the mill was brought under control at around 1 am today with the help of four units of fire-fighters from Baridhara and Tejgaon areas.
Being informed, they rushed to the spot and doused the flame, she said.
She added that it was initially assumed that the fire had originated from an electric short circuit.

At least 55 shanties were gutted in a devastating fire that broke out at Taltala slum in the capital s Kalshi area this afternoon.
The fire originated around 1:55pm at the slum near Sabuj Bangla residential area, said Lima Khanam, a duty officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, she said.
Six firefighting units doused the blaze at 5:40pm, said Ershad Hossain, another duty officer of the service, adding that it gutted 55 shanties.
