Deaths in Limerick: Wednesday April 14, 2021 Reporter:   ); The death has occurred of William (Willie Fitz) Fitzgerald, Stoney Creek, Newtown, Pallasgreen, Limerick  late of Fitzgerald Skip Hire, Timaru, Rathbane North, Limerick. William, passed away at University Hospital, Limerick Husband of the recently deceased Mary (Nee Moore) and father of the late Anthony, Liam and Johnny. Very deeply regretted by his sons Charlie and Tommy, daughters Barbara, Carmel and Kathryn, thirteen grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and large circle of friends. May He Rest in Peace A private Requiem Mass, for family only, will take place on Saturday (April 17th) at 10.00am in St. John s Cathedral Mass will be streamed live. Funeral afterwards to Mount St. Lawrence (old) Cemetery.

Shock at double road fatality

There is enormous sadness across North Kerry this week following a tragic car accident on Good Friday which claimed the lives of two well-known women from Ballybunion and Tralee. Siobhan Brosnan from Ballybunion and Mary Barry from Tralee both lost their lives after the collision, involving a car and a jeep, on the N21 at Kilgobbin on the Limerick side of Adare last Friday afternoon at approximately 3pm. Ms Barry, the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene while Ms Brosnan, the driver of the jeep, was taken to Limerick University Hospital with serious injuries. She succumbed to her injuries and passed away in the hospital on Sunday evening.
