There is enormous sadness across North Kerry this week following a tragic car accident on Good Friday which claimed the lives of two well-known women from Ballybunion and Tralee.
Siobhan Brosnan from Ballybunion and Mary Barry from Tralee both lost their lives after the collision, involving a car and a jeep, on the N21 at Kilgobbin on the Limerick side of Adare last Friday afternoon at approximately 3pm.
Ms Barry, the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene while Ms Brosnan, the driver of the jeep, was taken to Limerick University Hospital with serious injuries.
She succumbed to her injuries and passed away in the hospital on Sunday evening.
