Walkers warned popular Limerick amenity to close for upgrade

Limerick s Live 95 Search By Live95 News Team Picture Courtesy of Limerick Civic Trust An amenity that has been more popular than ever during the current Covid-19 restrictions is to close for works next Monday. The Red Path in Corbally which starts at the old toll house on Athlunkard Bridge and continues to the bottom of the Mill Road will be closed from 8:00am on Monday March 15th and will reopen on Friday March 19th at 17:00.  The footpath will be opened on the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st March and closed again from Monday March22nd at 8:00am including overnight, reopening on Friday 26th at 17:00.

In this strange and unsettling time of pandemic, the well-being and mental health of all our children is of paramount importance. Project 2020/21 Together, Le Chéile from the Museum of Childhood Ireland, provides a platform for children of all ages to express their hopes, fears, thoughts and observations, as they navigate life during these Covid times. The project was first devised and implemented by the Museum of Childhood Ireland for St Patrick’s Day 2020. As entries from children around the world poured in, they curated and launched it online on June 4, 2020.
