As New York s COVID numbers dramatically improve, Governor Cuomo hopes to lure people back with a new I Love NY campaign.
The Empire State is now spending $40-million to revitalize tourism with commercials that will run across multiple states and internationally. The governor says he wants to send the message that New York is back and ready for visitors. The first ads began running this week and feature iconic city landmarks like Washington Square Park, Moynihan Train Hall, Times Square and the Statue of Liberty set to the tune of New York, New York.

MALTA – Malta is joining the long list of municipalities that do not offer curbside, bulk trash collection.
Last year, during the pandemic, the town switched from curbside pickup to a series of days on which residents could haul their large items to a trash bin. But residents complained it made the service essentially useless: Many did not own a vehicle large enough to fit couches, construction debris and other large items. Some residents also said they couldn’t lift the items in and out of their vehicles.

There are three people facing charges after a woman says she was awoken by the sounds an intruder stealing her purse and other items from her room at Home 2 Suites, at 4:30 on Tuesday morning.
The burglary was traced to suspects in a neighboring motel room and the items were recovered. Two of the three suspects have been arrested multiple times. Colonie Police say Khalil Hankins has been arrested by them 8 times in 2021, and arrested at least 8 times this year by other local agencies on various charges. Colonie Police say they ve arrested Ava Maddalla 7 times this year, and Maddalla has been arrested by at least 4 other agencies this year.
