Owner Stephan Campanella said years ago, his grandmother, the late Pauline Kurlitis, would make franks and beans for the cooks there. His grandfather, the late Francis Kurlitis, would a take a scoop of leftover beans and put it on the pizza. Everyone loved it so much it was added to the menu.
