DERRY, N.H. (CBS) A man has died in a hospital Thursday, days after he was found unconscious during a house fire in Derry, New Hampshire. The man was identified as 57-year-old Manoel Viana by the New Hampshire Deputy Attorney General Jane E. Young.
On April 4, first responders were called to a fire on Mt. Pleasant Street around 10 p.m. They were able to drag Viana out, but his wife, 53-year-old Lynn Marie Viana, was found dead after the flames were put out.

Days after he allegedly shot and killed his estranged wife, a New Hampshire man has died, authorities said Friday.
Manoel Viana had been hospitalized in Boston since the shooting incident, in which his house in Derry also caught fire. The 57-year-old died from those injuries Thursday evening, according to the office of the New Hampshire deputy attorney general.

The cause of Viana s death is under investigation, prosecutors said. An autopsy was conducted Friday.

The stateâs chief medical examinerâs office determined Lynn Marie Vianaâs cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of her death was homicide, the attorney generalâs office said earlier this week.

CONCORD, NH A man who would have been brought up on a murder charge, accused of shooting his wife, when released from a Boston hospital due to burns he received in a fire, has died.
Manoel Viana, 57, died on Thursday, according to Kate Giaquinto, the director of communications for the New Hampshire Attorney General s Office, due to injuries he received on Sunday on Mt. Pleasant Street in Derry, after his house caught on fire. His cause of death is pending after an autopsy on Friday.
