Colleen Roper, of Future4fairgrounds, who came up with the idea, said: The standard of entries was very high and it was a very difficult choice. Our winners, Elsa, from Hunstanton Primary School, and Sophie, from Gayton Primary School, both used colours so beautifully. A winning entry from Elsa, of Hunstanton Primary School Her team of fellow fairground operators had organised the competition for primary schools when they heard there would be no Mart at Lynn this year because of lockdown. They wanted to give youngsters a chance to enjoy some of the colour of the fair from their homes.

With a long-standing history in the town, the February arrival of the traditional funfair should have seen hundreds gather in the town centre. Dating back over 800 years, this is the first time the event has been cancelled since the Second World War, so a Lynn business decided to pay tribute through a virtual display.
