Researchers from Inje University Sanggye Paik Hospital studied the average age of women who had experienced their first period among 351,006 women between 12 and 18 years of age from a 2006 to 2015 online survey on health patterns among teenagers, coming up with the said results.

The Consumer Union of Korea conducted a survey of 1,000 consumers with prior experience of visiting a vet clinics, 80.7 percent of whom felt uncomfortable with the medical costs. A single medical procedure normally costs 83,000 won (US$76.50) on average, up by 9.6 percent since the previous survey (75,000 won). Roughly one-third of clinic visitors claimed that they spent more than 100,000 won per visit.

The Ministry of Justice announced the introduction of a newly amended refugee law Monday that will reject all reapplications for refugee status unless an exceptional reason is provided. Any reapplications without a reasonable explanation may irreversibly deprive the applicant’s rights to be reviewed for refugee status.

Mirae Asset Investment and Pension Center conducted a nationwide survey of 700 men and women between 25 and 39 years of age, 70.6 percent of whom believed buying a home was necessary. Home ownership appears to a pipe dream for many, as 73 percent of respondents believed that their current level of income wasn’t high enough to purchase a home.
