May 05, 2021 08:08:46 PM Lyndhurst Group of Companies says it did not breach the government’s order for non-essential business to shut down from April 26. The company which is located in Kalabu tax-free zone was deemed a high-risk area for coronavirus transmission last week after an employee was tested positive for the virus. Lyndhurst Group of Companies chief executive Rokoseru Nabalarua said work at their factory floor ceased last Sunday after receiving a directive from the government. Nabalarua in a statement said all of their employees including the woman who tested positive for coronavirus were directed not to come to work last week Monday.

Lyndhurst Group of Companies says their factory at the Kalabu Tax Free Zone did not defy the Ministry of Health business shut down order from Monday, 26th April as was suggested by a journalist during the press conference on Monday 3rd May.
In a statement the CEO of the company Rokoseru Nabalarua says work on their factory floor ceased as directed by the Fijian Government on Sunday 25th April and by Monday 26th April, all their employees including their factory workers and patient number 113 were directed not to come to work.
