Officers with the Burton Police Department were called out just after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, for a report of a woman getting hit by a car after jumping from a median onto southbound I-475 between Hemphill Road and Hill Road. Witnesses stated that the female was crouched in the grass median and ran out into traffic, according to a Burton Police Department news release. One car swerved and missed the woman.
