This is the 7th year for the competition, which features the works of students selected by art teachers from schools throughout Butte County. There were 18 winners in six categories with nearly 100 works submitted. Action News Now Morning and Noon Anchor Linda Watkins-Bennett has been a judge for all seven years. Cameron Kelly with the Chico Art Center and Bobby Jones with the African American Family Cultural Center in Oroville also serve as judges.

She said the community college experienced a further decline due to Covid-19. Guleff said the college must be fiscally responsible to ensure stability, and that collective bargaining agreements are being followed.
