Evangel s vice president of student development is campus pastor

Greg Johns, campus pastor at Evangel University, has been named the institution s new vice president for student development. He will start the job May 16, succeeding Sheri Phillips, who is retiring after 35 years with the private Christian university. “I am humbled to follow Dr. Sheri Phillips as vice president for student development, Johns said in a news release. She is leaving behind a strong legacy and culture where students thrive and grow in their educational and personal pursuits. Formerly area director of the South Africa region for Assemblies of God World Missions, John has been the university s director of spiritual life and campus pastor since 2014.

SATH to Hold 22nd Annual Charity Auction on May 15th

Apr 9, 2021 The Highland County-based organization, SATH, or Supplementary Assistance to the Handicapped, will be holding its 22nd Annual Charity Auction on May 15th. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Highland County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro. HESS Auction Co., LLC will be assisting SATH with the Auction, and all proceeds will be used for children with special needs in Adams, Brown, Clinton, Fayette, Highland and surrounding Counties. SATH has struggled to raise funds and hold fundraisers since the COVID pandemic and is in need of donations to help with this fund-raiser. SATH Director Linda Allen says any items that residents would like to contribute to this worthwhile cause would be greatly appreciated.
