London Book Fair: Pandemic Issues Play Into Education Conference
The first of June’s four London Book Fair conferences, the ‘What Works?’ education conference, will take a series of looks at educational issues arising from the pandemic.

Aweek ago, London Book Fair announced its plan to expand its digital presence in June well beyond its originally announced dates.
The first effort is a series of four conferences in the week of June 7 before taking a pause the following week to let the Bologna Children’s Book Fair play through. The program then picks back up to run June 22 to July 1.
William Young saw red after he crashed his Audi A3 into another vehicle in Shripney Road, Bognor. The 22-year-old admitted to victim Mark Gilbert he was not paying attention, and the two went to the fast food restaurant car park to exchange details. Young became abusive and threatening and shouted: “There’s no f damage.” After returning to his vehicle he revved the engine then reversed over Mr Gilbert, who was standing by the driver’s door and was dragged under the wheel. Young then drove off over a grass verge and cycle lane, before abandoning his car and running away in a “moment of recklessness and stupidity”.
