Instead of the series deciding game being tied up in the eighth inning, Oral Roberts took the lead thanks to a few uncharacteristic errors. And then when LSU had a chance to even the score in the bottom of the frame, the Golden Eagles had an answer there too.

Kansas announced Miles departure Monday night, describing it as a mutual agreement to part ways. Miles has three years left on his original five-year contract with the school that pays him $2.775 million annually through December 2023 and includes several bonuses, among them a $675,000 retention bonus paid last November. “I am extremely disappointed for our university, fans and everyone involved with our football program, Kansas athletic director Jeff Long said in a statement. We will begin the search for a new head coach immediately with an outside firm to assist in this process. We need to win football games, and that is exactly what we’re going to do.”

(WAFB) - For the fourth time this season LSU’s Cam Thomas has been named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week. Thomas was named co-freshman of the week with Arkansas guard Moses Moody. The 6-foot-4 freshman from Chesapeake, Va. averaged 26.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in much needed wins over Vanderbilt and Missouri. Thomas recorded his first career double-double in the Tigers win over Vanderbilt with 23 points and 10 rebounds.

NCAA football: Kansas paying Les Miles $2M to no longer coach

Miles was under contract through 2023 before he parted ways with Kansas on Monday night.
