LSU suspends two athletic officials for mishandling of sexual assault

BATON ROUGE Two LSU Athletics employees were suspended without pay after a law firmâs report into LSUâs alleged mishandling of sexual assault complaints was released Friday.
Scott Schneider, a representative from the law firm, Husch Blackwell, presented the investigation to the LSU Board of Supervisors.
Schneider said the university was understaffed and unequipped to handle complaints under Title IX, a federal law meant to reduce sexual harassment and assault on college campuses. The law firmâs 150-page report outlined summaries of the cases that it investigated, current Title IX policies at LSU and recommendation

Freshman Haleigh Bryant and sophomore Kiya Johnson bookmarked the night with perfect scores to lead No. 3 LSU (6-3, 3-3 SEC) to a 197.875-196.175 win over No. 22 Missouri on Friday night inside the PMAC.
Bryant scored her first career 10 as the Tigers’ anchor on vault. Johnson ended the night with her second 10 on floor and fourth of her career.
The LSU men’s basketball team will be traveling to Columbia, Missouri to take on the Missouri Tigers with hopes of securing a top three seed for next week’s Southeastern Conference Tournament with a win.
