The Tigers beat out Kentucky and Arizona State in the Regional Finals on Saturday, April 3 to finish second behind Utah. LSU needed a strong performance heading into beams, the final rotation. Heading into the final rotation it was Utah in first at 148.700, Kentucky in second at 148.250 and LSU in third at 148.225. The Tigers would answer with a strong performance on beam from Christina Desiderio who opened with a 9.90, Sami Durante would follow with a 9.95. Alyona Shchennikova replaced Haleigh Bryant and scored a 9.825.

(WAFB) - The Southeastern Conference has announced seeding for the 2021 Gymnastics Championship based on the final regular-season National Qualifying Scores (NQS). LSU will be the No. 2 seed. The SEC Gymnastics Championship is scheduled for Saturday, March 20 in Hunstville, Ala. The first session will feature seeds 5-8 at 2:30 p.m. at the Von Braun Center. The second session will feature seeds 1-4 at 7 p.m. both sessions will be aired live on the SEC Network.

Bryant scored her first career 10 as the Tigers’ anchor on vault. Johnson ended the night with her second 10 on floor and fourth of her career.
