Le Club nicolaïte de danse a participé au grand concours régional organisé par la Confédération nationale de Danse (CND) Midi-Pyrénées à la salle du Bascala, à Bruguières (31). Prévu au mois d’avril, le concours avait été reporté à cause de la situation sanitaire. Malgré une saison chaotique peu propice à la préparation de ce genre de rendez-vous, les danseurs nicolaïtes ont récolté de nombreux prix, dont deux coups de cœur du jury, à la plus grande satisfaction de leur professeur Patricia Gaurand. Je suis très fière de mes élèves.

The new guidance issued by the CDC on the use of face masks caught the White House and businesses off guard last week. On Tuesday, CDC director Rochelle Walensky told a Senate committee that the Biden administration’s masking policies were important to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus and remained in place. By Thursday, the guidance had completely reversed itself. Toss off those masks if you have been vaccinated, we were told.
That was a very dramatic change in the span of just two days. Also of note, the Washington Post reports that Walensky signed off on the new guidance on Monday, the day before she testified to the Senate committee. Why did she proceed as though nothing was changing? Her performance smacks of politics and phony science. COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sixty minutes wasn’t enough to decide the WCHA Final Faceoff champion on Sunday afternoon as the third-ranked Ohio State women’s hockey team appeared poised to write another thrilling chapter in the story of its 2020-21 season. A goal by Wisconsin’s Lacey Eden, however, just 42 seconds into overtime lifted the second-ranked Badgers to a 3-2 victory at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis.
“We battled. There were no excuses, it’s playoff hockey,” said head coach Nadine Muzerall. “You sell out and do everything you can and need to do. We did that. We had an opportunity to get the puck out twice – it bounced over a stick and then hit off a skate badly that kept it in. It’s unfortunate but Wisconsin capitalized on that.”
