This app allows citizens to request town services, report service issues and upload photos, videos and specific descriptions in the notification.
In addition, the platform provides town of Bluffton staff members with a centralized issue management system to manage issues from creation to resolution. We do our best to educate residents about what issues the town can solve and notify the appropriate agency of requests outside of the town’s jurisdiction.
Bluffton interim town manager Marshall resigns
Bluffton Today
Bluffton Town Council accepted interim town manager Scott Marshall’s resignation at its Tuesday meeting.
Mayor Lisa Sulka said council had received a resignation letter from Marshall, who was hired as deputy town manager in 2015, after it returned from a closed executive session to discuss personnel. Marshall s last day with the town will be June 4.
“You’ve really kept our ship going,” Sulka told Marshall.
Marshall was appointed interim town manager in January after Marc Orlando was hired as the new town manager on Hilton Head Island.
The town said April 26 that council was offering the Bluffton town manager job to Easley city administrator Stephen Steese. Sulka said Steese has accepted the job and council is waiting on a final contract to review at a workshop this month.
Bluffton Today
As the town of Bluffton begins creating an updated comprehensive plan, it recently gave officials from surrounding municipalities the opportunity to provide some input.
The Southern Lowcountry Regional Board heard a presentation on the early stages of the Blueprint Bluffton plan last week. The board includes government officials from Beaufort and Jasper counties and their municipalities. We thought it would be beneficial to all elected officials in the region to hear about this process and weigh in on the process and help us all because comprehensive planning is something we all do, Hardeeville Mayor Harry Williams said.
The town said its current comprehensive plan, which was adopted in 2007, has not been amended since 2014. It said Blueprint Bluffton will be designed to “provide a fresh long-range vision.”
