There are close to 300 fires burning in B.C., along with 26 evacuation orders and 53 evacuation alerts in effect.

Dozens of ranchers throughout the province are among those forced to evacuate. Some have stayed behind to try to save their herds, while others have watched as their grazing fields have turned to ash.
The general manager of the B.C. Cattlemen’s Association, Kevin Boone, says the effects of the 2021 fires will be felt for years to come.
The special rapporteur would advise on a legal framework to investigate human rights violations and other crimes
