Negative relationships linked to worse physical and mental health in postpartum women

E-Mail HOUSTON - (June 3, 2021) - Postpartum women in bad romantic relationships are not only more likely to suffer symptoms of depression, they are also at greater long-term risk of illness or death, according to new research from Rice University, Ohio State University and the University of California, Irvine. Longitudinal changes in HRV across pregnancy and postpartum: Effect of negative partner relationship qualities will appear in the July 2021 edition of Psychoneuroendocrinology. Sunny 105 7  Helping Hands Gulf Shores Fundraiser Event

Hello everyone! Last year, we were unable to complete our event for Theodore Prive due to complications with COVID-19. We are pleased to announce that this year’s donation drive will be a continuation for the now four year old Theodore Prive. For anyone who doesn’t know, Theo was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia at 4.5 months old, that only affects roughly 150 documented infants per year. Despite this, Theo is a bright and strong young boy, who is incredibly outgoing and had a love for veggie straws. Our event will be a silent auction. Our goal is to raise $2,000 for Theo, to help with recent medical bills. Last year we were able to raise more that $4,500 before the event even started! It doesn’t matter if you donate a penny or a million dollars, you can still make a difference in Theodore’s life.

It’s the ‘old downtown’ or ‘Main Street’ of the city. West Virginians have seen the story over and over again. And visitors found boarded up storefronts and dilapidated buildings, remnants of a bustling and more prosperous time. But in the last 15 years, 1,433 new businesses have opened in Mercer County, according to the Secretary of State’s website. The majority of those businesses were based in Princeton. “It s definitely been a fun process to enjoy,” said small business co-owner Holley Odle. ‘When I was in high school I graduated from Princeton this street was a very unsavory place to be. A lot of trouble, a lot of things that, you know, we ve pushed out of here.”
