Man charged in Petersburg robbery

PETERSBURG A Petersburg man has been arraigned on robbery charges in connection with stealing fuel at gunpoint from a gas station earlier this month.
Justin Lee Baldwin, 29, of Petersburg was arraigned on a charge of armed robbery. Bond was set at $500,000 and Baldwin is being held in the Monroe County jail.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident occurred at the Lightning Quick Gas & Go, 640 Saline St., around 8:45 p.m. April 9. The clerk reported to deputies that a man brandished a firearm and demanded that the fuel pumps be turned on.
