AFTER a few issues with his sleigh, Santa is ready to take his regular tour around Northwich and spread some much needed cheer. Northwich Round Table and Rotary Club have once again organised the event and after a last minute plea for help towing the sleigh, a willing volunteer came forward meaning the tour can take place, although not like previous years. Thomas Robb, Chairman of Northwich Round Table explained: This year organising these trips has not been without difficulty for obvious reasons and special measures have been put in place. We have planned a safe tour which we have managed to do so far around various parts of town to bring festive cheer to as many people as we can when it is needed most.
RESIDENTS at a Northwich care home have been treated to wonderful collection of carols by a brass band performing in the carpark. Mereside Brass Band played out their set of festive tunes from the carpark of Lostock Lodge Care Home, as the delighted residents watched on from the comfort of their rooms. The band braved the adverse weather conditions to bring some much needed cheer, as a group of other residents gathered in the reception area to watch the performance.
