Local, state and federal authorities busted five stash houses and apprehended more than 100 migrants in a span of five days throughout Laredo.Courtesy photo /U.S. Border Patrol
Over a span of five days, Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents along with federal law enforcements partners, Texas Department of Public Safety, Webb County Sheriff’s Office and the Laredo Police Department discovered five stash houses and apprehended over 100 undocumented individuals throughout Laredo.
The first incident occurred during the mid-afternoon of July 8 when agents from the Laredo North Station received information regarding several undocumented individuals being housed at a local hotel on San Bernardo Avenue. Federal agents apprehended over 25 undocumented individuals from the countries of the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and Mexico.

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended several criminals and gang members over a 24-hour period.
The first incident occurred during the early morning of July 11, when agents assigned to the Laredo North Station apprehended a group of 12 undocumented individuals on a ranch northwest of the city that included two wanted criminals.
One undocumented individual was identified as Ian Abel Vargas-Sanchez, a 34-year-old Mexican national. Record checks revealed that Vargas-Sanchez has an outstanding warrant from Hays County in San Marcos. Webb County Sheriff’s Office deputies took custody of Vargas-Sanchez for extradition.
