Ramsey s second MHK to stand in September s General Election
Ramsey’s second MHK has declared his intention to stand in September’s General Election.
Alex Allinson is an independent candidate and is also a member of the Council of Ministers.
He was first elected to the House of Keys in 2016, and later appointed minister of the Department of Education, Sport and Culture in March 2020.
Among his priorities are affordable housing, rate reform, school investment, local healthcare services and social care.
Lib Van leader Lawrie Hooper will also be standing for Ramsey in the election, which takes place on Thursday 23rd September.
