Southampton 2025 Trust have confirmed a partnership with the Saints to back the City of Culture bid. The partnership has been developed to support the bid and beyond with Southampton Football Club adding their name alongside several other local businesses and institutions who have already pledged their support. Bidding to be UK City of Culture provides an opportunity to showcase all areas of culture including the city’s strong sporting heritage. Toby Steele, Southampton FC Managing Director said “We are delighted to partner with Southampton UK City of Culture 2025 and offer our full backing to this really exciting bid.
